Germany does not Nefertiti

They have announced that work is very valuable and possibly transportation may damage it. The exhibit is located in a museum in Berlin.
Egyptian authorities, who repeatedly sought his return to Egypt, claimed that the then German authorities have acquired it through illicit means, ie by smuggling. Egyptian art expert Zahi Hawass told the BBC that the archaeologist Ludwig Borhard who in 1913 carried out excavations in Egypt illegally exported a bust of the state. Egyptian authorities in 1930 has requested the return of the famous bust of Nefertiti, but even then their requests were rejected.
