Japan will become the first country in the world where the sale will be placed on natural blue roses, AFP reported. The company Suntory announced that Rose, the work whose creation has started 20 years ago, will be sold in stores in November.
The new variety is called "Applause." It is expected that a blue rose to cost 2000 -3000 yen / 22-23 dollars /, which is 10 times more expensive than traditional flower colors. In nature there are no blue roses, as these flowers absent gene responsible for making blue pigment. In shops, blue roses are sold well in advance, but they were all made of white roses with colors.
