Three won the Nobel Prize in Physics
Events, Thursday, March 01, 2012 10:02:58Nobel Prize for Physics 2009 is awarded to Charles Kao, Willard Boyle and George Smith. The three scientists received the award for his contributions to building the foundations of today's information society, international media reported. Charles Kao was born in Shanghai, whereas British and Chinese citizenship.
He has worked in universities in both countries. Boyle and Smith are American citizens and osnvono worked at universities in America. The prize of 10 million Swedish crowns awarded by the Nobel Committee for Physics at the Royal Academy of Sciences of Sweden, is the second Nobel Prize, awarded this year. Yesterday, three scientists shared the Nobel Prize for Medicine.
