In Munich beer festival began

Oktoberfest - the famous German beer festival began today with a solemn ceremony of opening a new keg of beer, AP. Mayor Christian Ude of Munich by two strokes of the mallet tenon cellars of the first barrel, which officially opened the 176th celebration of beer.

The first pint was awarded the Bavarian Prime Minister Horst Sihofer. The biggest beer festival will last 16 days and is expected to be visited by at least 6 million people. In 2008 the festival exams were 6.6 million pints of beer and eaten 104 cattle.
